India reaches a new tech milestone with Wipro, IISc, and RV College of Engineering launching the country’s first domestically built driverless car under the WIRIN initiative. The prototype, developed by RVCE students and faculty over six years, was showcased in Bengaluru on October 27. A viral video featured Sri Sri 1008 Satyatma Theertha Sripadangalu taking a comfortable ride as the car moved autonomously across the campus. This project integrates AI, robotics, machine learning, and 5G, representing a major advancement in India’s journey toward smart and self-driving mobility
